Leaving a legacy to FirstLight Trust helps us to supply valuable support to veterans of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services. A legacy in your Will means so much to us – any gift, large or small will make a difference. We realise that you will want to provide for your family, but you can also provide lasting help for our charity. This is known as a legacy.
You could choose instead to give us a proportion of your estate – for example 10% or 25%.
In order to leave us a legacy you will need to write a Will (if you do not have one already) or update a Will to include FirstLight Trust. Making a Will is often something that is put off or forgotten but making just a few minutes to write a Will could ensure your family’s peace of mind and enable essential support for veterans.
We have partnered with a national leading law firm, Irwin Mitchell, to provide an easy Will writing solution. They will then contact you to discuss your instructions and provide a Will that is entirely tailored to your needs.
Irwin Mitchell has discounted their fees for FirstLight Trust; A single Will costs £145 and wills for couples costs £195. Irwin Mitchell then gives a donation to FirstLight for each Will prepared – £15 for a single Will and £20 for Wills for couples. You can therefore benefit the charity by simply taking up the opportunity to make or update your Will.
